After years of playing together in various groups and ensembles, Katie and Irish piper John Maschinot have officially formed an Irish duo, appropriately named A Dò, the Irish word for two.

2009 was a busy year for Katie! She performed in a highly acclaimed run of PIRATES OF PENZANCE in the role of Edith, made her second appearance with the Johns Creek Symphony, and ran her first half marathon! Check out the calendar page to see what's new for 2010!

BIG RIVER won best musical at the annual Suzi Awards!!! Katie performed as Joanna, ensemble, and fiddler in the acclaimed show at Theatrical Outfit. Congrats to all the nominees and winners at Suzi 2009!

Katie has been cast in the role of Edith with The Atlanta Lyric Theater. The show runs from April 24-May 10. Check the calendar page for more info.

Katie has been cast as Mrs. Nordstrom in A Little Night Music at the Atlanta Shakespeare Tavern. The show runs from June 5 to July 5.

Katie won an Encouragement Award at the recent Georgia District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Katie was among 26 singers from Georgia and beyond.

Katie has been cast in Theatrical Outfit's production of Big River. She will be playing the part of Joanna, as well as singing and dancing as part of the ensemble, and playing fiddle in the band! Check the calendar page for more details.

Katie has been accepted as a scholarship student at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. She will study for 6 weeks in July and August, working with coaches and teachers on full operas, scenes, aria programs, German language, and more!

Bluebeard's Waiting Room, a one act opera by Milton Granger which will receive it's world premiere this fall, has been accepted to perform at the National Opera Association national convention in January, 2008. Check back for more details!

Katie's graduate recital has been rescheduled to November 9th at 7:30. Please make note of this change!

Young Audiences of Atlanta, a subset of the Woodruff Arts Center, has scheduled their annual showcase for August 29 from 8-1. Katie performs with the group Celtic Fire in Young Audiences as a singer and Irish step dancer. Check the links page for their website.

Katie Baughman will be preparing the role of Constanze in Wolfy, a new opera by Misha V. Stefanuk, libretto by Evan Dozier-Stefanuk. Performance details to come. Check out the links page for The New Opera's Website.

Katie Baughman recently performed the role of Luciette in a partial performance of Milton Granger's new opera, Bluebeard's Waiting Room, at The Harrower Summer Opera Workshop. The official world premier will be in the fall. Check the calendar page for more details!

Katie was a semi-finalist at the Classical Singer National AudComps Competition in the Young Artist Division. She was one of 13 selected out of 200 applicants in the nation.
