Experience the music of one of the greatest composers of all time.  Two of Ludwig van Beethoven’s greatest compositions, Symphony No. 3, “Eroica,” and Mass in C Major will be performed by two of Atlanta’s outstanding musical ensembles, the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra and The Michael O’Neal Singers.  Conductors J. Wayne Baughmanand Michael O’Neal will lead these musicians and professional vocal soloists in one of the highlights of the season.  With soloists Katie Baughman, Soprano; Heather Witt; Mezzo-Soprano; Nathan Munson, Tenor; and John LaForge, Bass-Baritone.

Grades 3-8$1"A Do" means "two" in Irish and this duo offers an exciting educational presentation of Irish music and dance for children of all ages. Students will hear fascinating native instruments while learning about Irish culture and history. Experience the thrill of Irish step dancing, and learn a few steps yourself! For a finale, participants will be encouraged to take part in a "ceili mor," which is Irish for big music and dance party!

Join this spritely musical trio for a céilidh—a traditional Irish music and dance party!  Nella Rigell and John Maschinot perform lively dance tunes and haunting airs on the Celtic harp, bagpipes, wooden flute, and more.  Irish step dancer Katie Baughman’s percussive footwork will get your toes tapping as you learn about the history, culture, and character of the Emerald Isle!

On Friday evening April 1st at 8:00pm the Cathedral Choir of Christ the King, Cathedral Organist Timothy Wissler and, guest artist, cellist Charae Krueger will present a very special program of music by the Baroque master Johann Sebastian Bach.  The program will feature Bach’s famous motet Jesu meine Freude (Jesus my Joy), a set of cello pieces from the composer’s Suite in D minor and his organ masterwork  Fantasy and Fugue in G minor.  No reservations are required and the public is warmly invited to attend this hour long program.  Donations will be accepted at the door (suggested donations $10.00).


Katie will be a featured soloist on this program.
